Balanced You - 7 Day Retreat

In the 7 day “Balanced You" yoga retreat in tropical northern Queensland (Mission Beach, 2 hours south of Cairns), you will be exploring and balancing out your masculine and feminine energies. In this retreat Anneriek works together with Robbie Keck, to bring together both the balanced feminine and the balance masculine energy.

Only once we bring our balance feminine and masculine together and integrate, will we find personal wholeness... In constantly undervaluing and disrespecting an innate part of ourselves, we struggle to recognise the whole perfect being that we are. Learning to respect feminine traits along with masculine, first in ourselves and then in others, will do a lot for not only our mental and physical health, but also society at large. ​

​Based on both Anneriek's Goddess SequencesTM and Shiva SequencesTM, this retreat you will help you find connection to and balance between your feminine energy - 'Shakti' - and your masculine qualities - 'Shiva' - to help you create a world in which you live in balance with others and the earth, and with your own masculine and feminine nature. The masculine is source of consciousness and awareness. The feminine is the life force behind all evolution and all change.

This retreat offers practices that allow you to connect to your body, to develop mental awareness, to challenge and laugh at yourself, to slow down and arrive in the the present moment. You will be able to unwind, to let go of your rules, your responsibilities, your worries, so that you can be more playful, connect with nature, and deepen your awareness to enhance your happiness and well-being. You will be guided through meditation and yoga (flow and yin) sessions daily to reconnect to and heal your body and mind.  Anneriek creates a trusting and open environment to share and explore your experience.

YOUR FACILITATORS

In this retreat Anneriek works together with Robbie Keck. Robbie and Anneriek have co-facilitated many retreats and teacher training programs before. In this retreat Anneriek will guide you in the divine feminine essence where Robbie will be your guide to explore your to the balance masculine energy.

SUITABLE FOR

​The retreat is suitable for all levels of experience however some yoga experience is recommended. Participants are asked to open their minds to deepen their yoga practice and to explore new aspects of their yoga journey.

PROGRAM

Saturday 5PM start and Saturday 9AM finish. A detailed schedule will be provided before the start of each intensive. All meals are included.

In this retreat you’ll be exploring some yoga philosophies around Shiva and Shakti to integrate these principles into your practice and life. You’ll look at masculine and feminine energies and qualities both in asana (physical) practice, meditation and breath work. During the meditation and breath work sessions your will learn to connect to your mind and let go of thoughts, enhancing feelings of enthusiasm, joy and peace.

Anneriek and Robbie both have an ability to teach challenging practices in a light hearted and joyful way. They’ll be guiding you through:

• Early morning pranayama and (guided) meditation
• Two yoga asana classes per day (flow and yin)
• Theme related activities

This intensive is held at the beautiful Sanctuary Yoga Retreat in Queensland, “A haven of tranquility in a setting of breathtaking beauty”. With secluded beaches meeting the Great Barrier Reef, unique accommodation, dedicated yoga space, massage and delicious cuisine, Sanctuary Retreat is the unspoilt paradise. Located amidst lush tropical Rainforest, overlooking the Coral Sea , in Bingil Bay, two hours south of Cairns.

HOW TO GET THERE​​

The charter bus to pick up from Cairns airport leaves at around 1-1.30pm Saturday (allows for the Melbourne / Sydney flights to be in). On check out day (Saturday) the bus will leave around 9am to get to the airport for 11ish. Please book your flights accordingly.
